Canmore Perfect Day: Itinerary
Let us show you how to explore Canmore like a local, stress-free and car-free! Kick off with a cozy coffee, a tasty breakfast, shop charming boutiques, and savor a yummy lunch. Hike scenic trails, join a fun tour, and wrap up with a delicious dinner and epic sunset views. You'll be busy and loving every minute!
Morning Coffee
The only way we know how to start our mornings is with a coffee in hand. Our favorite place to head is Eclipse Coffee Roasters (three locations in Canmore).
Eclipse Coffee: TIP Get their Banana Bread and thank us later.
Other favorites: Electric Wolf & Uprising Bakery
Grab your coffee to go and enjoy a stroll on policeman's creek and enjoy the town's peaceful charm whilst it’s still waking up and before shops are open.
Breakfast
Now to fuel ourselves for a day ahead, we need to grab a good breakfast. We love Le Fournil for delicious french pastries, and other baked goods. Make sure to get there early as it does get very busy and can sell out.
Le Fournil: TIP The Almond Croissant is the best you’ll taste.
Other favorites: The Rocky Mountain Bagel Co & The Local
Shopping on Main Street
Compared to its tourist shop packed neighbor Banff, Canmore has an array of locally owned and curated shops, yes you can pick up your classic mementos but you will find more intentional and fun finds here! Most stores open around 10am.
Stonewaters - Something for everyone! A truly hand picked selection of lifestyle and home goods, with the famous Neon Canmore sign perfect for pictures. They also have contemporary Canmore designed clothing, a specialty Pantry, Kids section, wellness, Alberta made chocolate boutique and even its own Vinyl store.
Other good finds: Project A, Alberta's Own, UNLTD & Hello Vintage
Lunch
We recommend trying out the viral Onigiri Machine located within Stonewaters shop. Made daily by Banff based company Yama Onigiri. You can also pick up a chilled drink and other snacks in their curated pantry section.
TIP: Our favorite is the Shrimp Wasabi
Afternoon Activities:
Go for a stroll, picnic or swim at Quarry lake - it is walkable… but it will take you around 40 minutes from downtown and the final stretch is a quad killer! But perfectly doable for anyone active.
TIP: Friday to Sunday during summer months there is a complimentary bus service from downtown to Grassi Lakes Trail head with a stop at Quarry Lake. Route 12
or
Head for a gentle float down the bow river, with beautiful views and knowledgeable guides, we love Canmore Raft Tours. From the water is one of our favorite ways to appreciate Canmore and its spectacular mountain range. The views and the experience will be unforgettable.
TIP: Our favorite option to book is The Townie

Dinner & Drinks
We start our day with coffee and we end it with good food and good drinks! We love Bridgette Bar located in Spring Creek, it does a mean cocktail and delicious sharing plates. It has a cool interior, think modern mountain chalet with a circular fire centerpiece. It’s the perfect vibe to end your day in the rockies.
Bridgette Bar: TIP their matinee Happy Hour is between 2-5pm and it’s one of the best in town. 50% off all Drinks and Pizzas.
We also love: 4296 & Where The Buffalo Roam
Sundowner
If you still have a little energy before bed and want to see a Rockies sunset, grab your picnic blanket and dessert and head to Riverside Park which is right downtown. Enjoy the pastel skies next to the Bow River, you’ll get a view all the way from the Three Sisters to EEOR.
