Launched in 1999 by childhood friends Tim Nokes and Mike Gordon, Stonewaters was born from their shared love for interior design and quality craftsmanship.
Both hailing from Banff, Alberta, they already led successful businesses—Gordon with Canwest Flooring and Nokes with Tim Nokes Design, a graphic arts and branding company.
In 2005, they relocated Stonewaters to an iconic downtown spot after being approached by Phil Marra of Marra’s grocery business. The site received an award-winning architectural redesign by Tim, marking a new chapter in Stonewaters' journey.
