You can't scroll down your social feedss without seeing one of Melody's beautiful candles alight on someones bedside, cofee or side table. It i safe to say we (and everybody else) are ✨obsessed✨ with the perfectly pleasing scents and aesthetics of our dreams.

Mala started off as a passion project in your spare time, when did you know the time was right to launch it into something bigger?
I didn't know! I was actually let go from my 9-5 marketing job while I was doing Mala in my spare time. I decided to go with my gut and focus on Mala for a few months after this to see if I could grow it... the rest is history!
What was your original vision when you first launched the brand, and does it still remain the same today?
It is very much the same - only difference is the packaging it comes with. We started out with hand stamped cotton bags and now have them in custom made gift boxes! (Once we were able to hit the suppliers MOQ!)
What's your biggest source of inspiration?
Mostly, my childhood! I'm very much inspired by all my life experiences and childhood nostalgia.
What piece from the Mala collection is your current obsession?
Fig Jam 100% - its a new spring scnet launching March 13, and its inspired by my mom's beloved fig tree.
Our 2023 Motto is all about evolving routine into ritual. Do you have any daily rituals that help keep you grounded through what we can only imagine are very busy days?
Weekly journaling to reflect, starting my day and ending my day with 3 things I'm grateful for, trying to move my body at least 30 mins every day, replacing netflix with a book on weekday evenings, and no phone in the first 30 and last 30 minutes of my day.
What's your favourite part of running a business?
The flexibility and the creativity!
